Huh. Lori isn't listed in the cast. An error, or is she actually leaving?

she might have left the previous episode (next week's episode)

I guess it's possible. But then I guess she'll be back the episode after that or something. If she would leave the show for good, wouldn't we have heard about it?

I don't know. Intriguing.

this is the summary for next week's episode:
"When Five-0 nearly causes an international incident while on a case, Governor Denning tells them one of the team members will pay for it with their job."

and...I'd think that because Lori/Lauren isn't listed in this press release, she might be the one to leave. It might be for an episode or 2...or it might be for good.

I'm hoping it's for good. I'm not fond of the character. But I'm trying not to keep my hopes up. Still... *fingers crossed*

This is the Press release from the official CBS site; however I notice that the version posted on AOLR has Lauren listed. I'm hoping it's an AOLR typo.

Obviously, with the extended promo for 2.16, they're trying to make us think Lori will get fired. I can't decide if it's all a clever plot from TPTB to keep us guessing or if she'll really leave!

The AOLR version is now Lori-free too :)

HOORAY!!! With all the silly stuff they do on this show, they're bound to shove somebody else in there, but hopefully it'll be an actress next time.

Random athletes, really? *facepalm*

I really, really hope she's gone for good (it'll make dealing with her obviously being featured in the ep, from the look of the promo, only slightly more bearable, but if it means she goes away, I'll cope), but I don't trust them as far as I can throw them. They've not given me a lot of reasons to truss them.

There is so much to love about this press release:

As a Phillies fan, I am thrilled that our very own "Flyin’ Hawaiian” Shane Victorino is going to be guest starring :)

I'm also excited to see that Autumn Reaser and Teilor Grubbs will be making an appearance so maybe that means good things with Danny's moving on from Rachel.

And lastly, Lauren German isn't listed as a regular or guest star. Please tell me that isn't a mistake :):)

oo Grace is in this episode.

and Dr. Gabrielle Asano. I wonder if there's going to be more awkwardness like from 2x07 (at least I thought it was awkward between her and Danny)

He mentions her in the clip from 2.16. So I guess they're dating?

They do seem to be... although from the way he looked when he said he had to get a Valentine's gift for her, it doesn't look to me as though it's going too well.

It's either an aolr typo, or wishful thinking, because she is definitely not listed on the release on the CBS site - I just checked. It's possible they copied their posting of other releases and didn't change that section.

I don't think the ratings will change that much. A lot of people left because of her being on the show. If they don't know she is gone they won't come back. So unless social media really gets the word out --ratings are going to continue to drop.

The thing is, the ratings *didn't* drop that much anyway, they just didn't go up (too many people - like me - hanging on in there even though they weren't happy?). So quite obviously the changes that Peter made didn't result in the show becoming more popular. We may get some people who *did* leave back out of curiosity once she's gone, so long as the word gets out.

Actually yeah--you're right--they won't continue to drop. If people come back out of curiosity now that she is gone.....perhaps the ratings will stay steady where they have been this season. The show didn't become more popular this season-yet. Hopefully, now that LG is leaving, and, if the writing continues on its upward trend, we will acquire more fans, and maybe higher ratings, in the last 8-9 episodes. Hope this makes sense.

I hope to god she's gone so I can start watching the show again. They also need more Steve/Danny moments like in season 1 so I can actually LOVE the the show again too.

I know what you mean... I think I might even have been able to tolerate her better if they'd kept the Steve/Danny relationship strong, instead of letting her and Joe White get in the way. If I'd still been getting that strong sense of bromance/partnership/friendship from Steve and Danny like we had in S1 then I might have been able to ignore the Loribot. Given that Peter Lenkov kept saying last season how that relationship was the core of the show, I have no idea why he let it slip so badly this season. I'm hopeful that things seem to be improving, though, so maybe Peter has got the message finally.
