A romantic dinner for two...

Well, Dan and I were going to go out for a meal together last night, and I was really looking forward to it. But it was not to be. On his way home in a sudden rainstorm Dan managed to spin his car off the road. Luckily he wasn't hurt, but it took 4 hours and £330 (532 US dollars/3976 rand - boy, sounds even worse in when you say it in South African!) to get the car out and Dan back home. So we had no dinner, and are down to one car until the garage have checked whether his is safe to drive. Not quite what we'd planned for the evening.

What's under the bed?

DD came into bed with me at about 06.15 this morning, and settled down quite happily with her cuddly hedgehog, chattering quietly away to me as I snoozed. All of a sudden there came a ghostly wailing from under the bed - I jumped a mile.... turned out that DS had crept as quietly as he could into my bedroom (and I hadn't noticed him) and had crawled under the bed to give me a surprise. Certainly worked. Ratbag child!

Do love him to bits though.
