Wildlife

Spring must be on its way - today we had ducks in the garden, and they only come in when they're prospecting for nest sites.

We also had a Moorhen feeding on the lawn most of the morning - a new species for the garden list :-)

Then when we got in from soccer club there was a big brown rat foraging for dropped seeds under the bird feeder. I've seen rats by the pond a couple of times recently - I don't know if these are chance sightings or if the local rat population is increasing.
