I know what you mean, but I think the thing you have to remember is that Lauren has known for quite a while now whether or not she's staying, even though Lori's fate hasn't been leaked to the viewers. So either she knows she's staying and that there's a plan in place to reintroduce the Lori character in a better way now that Joe has gone, or she's already come to terms with the fact that she's leaving, and is focused beyond Hawaii Five-0. Either way I don't think she's going to pay too much attention to this promo.

I don't think this whole situation can be at all easy for her, knowing how *disliked* her character is by many fans, but I suppose that as an actor you have to be fairly thick-skinned and have self-belief, otherwise you don't last long in the business. All I hope is that she has a good support network of friends (which from her Twitter feed she seems to) and that TPTB have supported her as well as they should have through all this - because after all it's their handling and writing of the Lori character that has caused the problems and the backlash.

On a lighter note, as well as it being the main four, I do like the way this promo focuses on Steve and Danny being partners, and the banter between them. It's a big part of what made the first season so great, and I'm just hoping that this promo means that TPTB realise they need to get some of that back.
