As for The Two Towers, I liked it (except for leaving Eomer out - the scene where he gives Theoden his sword back has always been one of my favourites) but I’d read so many spoilers that I went into the cinema totally prepared to watch it as a separate entity to the book, which I think was just as well. Word is that RotK sticks much more firmly to the original storyline.
Pirates has totally distracted me this year - this time last year I was on tenterhooks for TTT, whereas this year I’m still focussed on that DVD arriving first week in December!
