Just booked my flights to get down to Lisbon and back from Cadiz. So now all I need to do is figure out what I need to take with me for the trip (apart from sea sickness pills, just in case!).

Now how am I going to concentrate on work for the next 3 weeks??

I would like to introduce you, my dear, to raggedrose; her journal is friends-only, but I'll make the introductions when she gets back landside. She's my buddy aboard the brig Lady Washington currently. :-D

She'll likely have great input for you, for the "what to pack" question. I believe she returns ashore in a few more days, by the 15th or so. Will that be soon enough for your purposes?

Oh, and she's a Wenchie, absolutely. ;-) Used to write slash in Hornblower fandom, has moved on to other fandoms, I believe? I may be confused about that timeline.

That would be good - any tips will be welcome, experience has told me that any outdoor pursuit is improved by being properly equipped!

And I've been meaning to say - one of these days I will come and visit you in sunny Ca, but, well, this was a tall ship. You understand :-)
