(Although I'm reminded of a teenager left unconscious in a parking lot years ago in my city. The people working in the building nearby could see her through the windows, but upper management forbade them to leave their desks to go help her. Finally someone grew a spine and went out anyway and called an ambulance, but that story has always stayed with me)
That whole story is just...unbelievable. That the guy knew he ran over her and then decided to keep running over her because it would be cheaper for him if she died than if she lived is even more insane.
I know. Then I remember the Kitty Genovese murder in NYC back in the early 60's----at least 40 people heard her screams and no one even opened a window or called for help.
This is why I love animals. And I dislike humans in general.
