Spring? Where?

fabu posted some lovely 'Texas in Spring' pics over on her journal, which made me take a look back through some pics of my own.

I can't believe how much later Spring is here than it was last year. I took this photo (the view from my garden gate) last April. I don't know if it was early or late April, but I do know that this morning these same trees still have completely bare branches. So they've a lot of greenery to put on in just 4 weeks if they're going to catch up with last year!
