I'm no petrolhead, and I kind of feel that loving driving doesn't quite square with my green beliefs, but I do love it nonetheless.

I drove the first half of the journey home yesterday, across the Welsh mountains from Criccieth to Shrewsbury, on fantastic mostly-deserted mountain roads that were a delight to drive. The road from Trawsfyndd to Bala is particularly spectacular - wide open road with fantastic views and swooping curves, a half hour or so of hitting the bends just right and accelerating out of the curves that was an utter joy for me.

So, yes, I like to drive, even if it's not very green. It's the joy of exercising a skill to the best of my ability, I think :)

As is now traditional for these Welsh New Year holidays, we climbed Cnicht today :)

Very gray again today, so still just phone pics. Walked up the Watkin Path, then branched off to visit a deserted copper mine.
