Chocolate cake

azziriaDH cooked the most fantastic chocolate cake last night, for the school fundraising Easter cake stall today.
It smelt most marvellous. I voted that we should eat it there and then and give the money to the school. Buy it ourselves, effectively. So that I could have a piece RIGHT THEN, while it was still warm and lovely.
He said no. How would we know what the cake was worth?
We have a digital camera, I said. We can take a picture of it, eat the cake, then ask the stall organiser what she'd have charged for the cake in the picture and pay that amount. I thought this was rather a clever idea of mine.
He still said no.
He has no idea how cruel and heartless he was being to a tired and emotional woman who needed that chocolate cake. Needed it, I tell you. Badly.
He has promised to make me another one this weekend. At least that's something, I suppose...
