Running week
Jun. 21st, 2004 12:26 pmLast Wednesday ran my fastest 5 miles so far.
Ran 5.5 miles on Friday - didn't think it was very fast, but I looked at my log and the last time I ran that route was as my long run in April, when it took me 10 minutes longer. So there is improvement :-)
Sunday morning I ran 10 miles again. I feel much better today after doing it than I did last Monday - far fewer aches. Had a sore throat and bunged-up nose - wasn't sure if it was hay fever or a cold, so I didn't want to run too far from home in case I wasn't up to it. Decided to run around the village. Thanks to the GPS, I was able to run all sorts of interesting loops and bits of footpath etc and still know how far I'd gone. A nice run.
DH ran his first sub-1hr 10k. I'm jealous of his (comparative) speed! (But, as he pointed out, he wouldn't be able to run 10 miles right now, and anyway this isn't a contest.)
