Sickening and heartrending

In the news here today: parents who almost let their 5 children starve to death.

I can't believe that this sort of thing can happen here, in this day and age. It makes me feel sick.

I just hope that if I ever suspect something like this is happening, I'd have the nerve to call Social Services and s*d the consequences if I turned out to be wrong.

paladinnz has just reminded me that the ROTK:EE is out in a couple of weeks.
