Out for 5k at 11.15. My first run for just over 3 weeks, thanks to 2 weeks off sick (that nasty little respiratory virus that had me coughing my boots up if I walked as far as the garden gate) and our week in the Alps (snow, altitude and steepness don't make for good running opportunities, especially for someone who usually lives at sea level).
So, how did it go? Well, someone seems to have swopped my legs for someone else's. A pair that not only have never heard of running, but also have no grasp of the concept of co-ordination, either. Or perhaps I've been supplied with a mis-matched pair.
Never mind, this is where experience kicks in. Another 5k later in the week, then a 5-miler at the weekend, and I'll be well on my way back again... just so long as I can avoid the next virus when it does its rounds, that is...
