BBC Radio Four
May. 11th, 2009 11:27 amRadio Four is one of the blessings in my life, it really is. I tend to have it on while I'm doing housework, cooking etc. Over the last couple of weeks I've happened upon programmes that have been utterly fascinating and illuminating, and which I would never have thought to seek out. There was a programme talking to nuns about their experiences of coming out of closed orders as a result of Vatican II, another programme where thalidomide babies talked about their lives now as adults, and today a programme following the first year in the life of a baby born (via IVF) to a 57-year-old woman.
Glimpses of other people's lives, and all wonderfully thought-provoking.
