I seem to have inadvertently earned serious brownie points for dealing with these pheasants. As I was pulling the entrails from the fourth one, DH said in hushed, admiring and reverent tones “I think you’re terribly brave to be able to do that”.

Ha! I am a woman who can disembowel dead animals! Fall down and worship me!
