Seriously. This show consistently delivers on character and plot, but last night it did all that and then some more: Walton Goggins (Boyd Crowder from Justified) as a transgender escort with attitude (plus a mighty fine ass). Magnificent.

"Is he dead? 'Cause I don't do dead."

"Now, have you ever had your dick sucked by a Southern girl with a huge cock?"

Priceless. And fabulous :)

I still haven't watched SoA, but that sounds fucking brilliant. Yes. I am regularly filled in about the goings on in the show and damn, what happened to Opie is seriously fucked up. Poor Jax. Their love was special, damnit. (I hear about it enough that I get ideas.) Oh, man... Tig's daughter, too. SO FUCKING SAD. And the guy that plays him has gorgeous eyes (/random).

Another show rec for you if you've not seen it yet: Breaking Bad. That is one of the best, most disturbing and twisted shows I've seen in a long time. It's very satisfying; the acting is awesome, the writing is brilliant and sometimes, even during really WTF?! moments, it will still make you laugh. Walter is one of the best characters I've seen in ages and Jesse is right there behind him. And WOW at the way Walter has changed/evolved over the course of the show--amazingly twisted and brilliant... and rather realistic in a harsh-as-hell way.

And I'm rambling. Anyway. Tl;dr: If you haven't watched that show yet then you should do so at once.

I'm still not over Opie, he was one of my favourite characters, but I applaud the show for having the balls to go there. Killing him off moves Jax on as a character, which works.

I love the show - I didn't watch it at first because I was hinky about how they might portray the female characters, given the subject matter, but actually their women are strong (and the showrunner himself says it's become all about the women). And the way the characters have developed, and the politics coming out within the club... works for me. S3 was not quite so good IMHO, but I loved S4 and so far a couple of the S5 episodes have left me stunned and reeling and wanting more. And really, what more can you ask from a show? Oh yes, a transgender hooker with attitude. Truly a win :)

I've not seen Breaking Bad, but I've heard good things about it - I'll check it out :)

I will get around to watching SoA one of these days, I swear. I have the pilot episode in my possession, in fact, but still haven't watched it. I really have no doubts that I'll like it, but it just keeps getting pushed to my "things to watch" back burner. Must rectify that soon-ish.

Oh, do check out Breaking Bad; it's a must-see as far as I am concerned. The pilot is a weensy bit slow, but hell, it was the pilot and that tends to happen. But god, once it gets going, it's just non-stop with the fucked-up awesomeness. Seriously, Walter is one lab accident away from becoming a super villain. Which I rather like a good deal. And Jesse--and some of the crap Walter pulls with/does to him--will make you sad sometimes, which really surprised me. Beware Walter's wife though: She annoys so bad, damn, but she does still serve a purpose/add something to the show.

I don't watch SoA but I do love Justified & WG's Boyd is actually my favourite character.
I just had to check WG's scenes out & oh my goodness! Loved it - Venus Van Damme is hot! LOL
Thanks for the heads up.

Boyd is my favourite character too, I love the way WG plays him, so I might have squealed just a bit when I realised who was playing Venus Van Damme :)

The dialogue in Justified is like poetry - especially any scene with Raylan & Boyd together.
*happy sigh*
