Out for our traditional 5 km run across the fields before Christmas Day breakfast - only D and I this year, for some reason our teenagers preferred to stay in bed rather than brave the wind and rain with us!

It is - it feels like a breath of sanity before diving into the eating and drinking madness that follows, plus it gives D and I some time to chat before the entertaining extended family begins :)

We always see at least one other person out running, too - we saw two this year :)
