Random thoughts for Saturday morning
Jul. 5th, 2003 12:31 pmI've just been watching the village Feast fun run - either 3 or 6 miles (and yes, I did feel guilty that I wasn't taking part... but DH is in Japan until tomorrow so I would have had to get someone to look after the kids... that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it...). The participants ran right past our house just before finishing on the village green. It was really good to see how many people of all ages, shapes and sizes got out there and had a go - it wasn't just all the real fitness freaks (mostly male, from observation...). Well done to the lot of them.
Another random thought this morning, when changing the beds: when I was a child we didn't have duvets, and once a week when we changed the beds we took the bottom sheet off, put the top sheet on the bottom, then put a fresh sheet on the top. I'd forgotten that. I wonder if this was a family peculiarity, or what everyone with sheets and blankets did?
DS's football (soccer) team won 5-1 this morning, and he scored 4 of the goals. Go him!
