Just wondering...
Mar. 25th, 2004 12:36 pmWhen you were young, and used to play catch (tag), did you have an off-limits area where you couldn't be caught, where you could go if you needed to catch your breath? And if you did, what did you call it?
We used to call it 'cree', which I'm now thinking might be a local dialect word from the West Country. Anyone else heard it/use it?

Reasons to be cheerful
Mar. 25th, 2004 02:16 pmReasons to be cheerful today:
- The kitchen is finished (well, we still have a little bit of painting to do, but only white-over-white which you don't really notice - all the dark pink bits are painted). And the kitchen looks exactly like I'd imagined it would :-)
- New music; trying out some new stuff and adding more of a favourite.
- DS doesn't have a tummy upset any more (I do, however, but it's minor and I can cope). And DD doesn't have it yet.
- Today is Thursday, so no work tomorrow. Yay! That means book-buying, and Lush, and I might go and see Starsky and Hutch. And wine with dinner tonight, even if common sense says it's not a good thing for a dodgy stomach.
Hah! Common sense? We laugh in the face of it!

- Banco de Gaia - Last Train To Lhasa: saw this recommended on a friendsfriends journal. Yes, I like it.
- Ojos de Brujo - Bari: this band got very good reviews in various papers etc, and I like the flamenco influence. But this one's going to take a bit more listening before I make my mind up about it.
- Juno Reactor - Bible of Dreams: Because I love Shango. Think I'm going to love this too.
