We've found many lovely things in the gravel of our driveway - stones of interesting shape or with interesting patterns, and even highly polished stones that must owe their lustre to the hand of man and not the sea alone.

But today I found a real treasure - a fossilized sea urchin, a tiny relic of a long-ago ocean, no bigger than an acorn in my hand.

That's beautiful. Just lovely.

It made me want to cuddle my trilobite collection.

In your driveway? No fair!

It's also no fair that I don't have any fossil icons. I'll need to fix that.
