Out at 0630 for 5 miles.
Perfect running weather for me this morning - overcast, coolish, with slight drizzle and a light breeze. Very refreshing to run in, but not so good for the fundraising day happening today to raise money towards the new sports pavilion they're building on the Rec. One of today's challenges is to get 1000 people to run or walk round the Rec between the hours of 0600 and 1800, so I went up and did my circuit as part of my run this morning.
I'm really pleased with this morning's run. I found my short runs earlier in the week somewhat disheartening - I know I've had 5 weeks off from running, but I've been very active so I shouldn't have slipped back too far. However this morning, although I was slow (deliberately), I felt as though I could have run quite a bit further (I was sensible and stuck to my schedule, though - no sense in overdoing things). So now I'm buoyed up with enthusiasm and hope :-)
