I'd love to make this for myself one day. In flaming russets and dark golds. It appeals to my sense of the dramatic and flamboyant and to the ageing hippy in me.

Not being a knitter, I automatically translated the idea into a woven shawl - and it would make a really tricksy project. Could be done in one step, weaving the ribbons in as the cloth was made. (I love stuff like that!) *daydreams bout which fibers I'd use.....*
