Very warm and humid today, so I took it easy. Running across the fields I got a real sense of the end of summer - the fields are stubble now that the wheat has all been harvested, the hedgerows are laden with rosehips and hawthorn berries and blackberries, and the first few leaves are starting to drift down. A beautiful time of year.
