Every year at Christmas a man in the next village covers his garden in fleecy fake snow and installs light-up Santas, sparkly reindeer and Christmas lights galore, all in the aid of charity. Tacky as anything, yes, but somehow very much in the spirit of Christmas. We love it - our trip to see the lights is one of our family Christmas traditions.
