Did the petrol price around your way spike just before the b/hol weekend? I noticed that all of our garages seemed to jump at least 2p at the back end of last week..
I must admit I didn't notice - the cost of filling up our car now is so horrendous that I tend to try not to think too hard about the liquid gold I'm feeding into the tank...
they got us last summer, we drove down to south wales on the first day of the school holidays and the petrol had just hit 99p a litre the previous week. I think we killed about £120 in petrol for the round-trip :-(
