Anyone out there got/used an iPod? Just looking for some feedback on how easy they are to use, upload to, etc. I'm getting fed up with carting CDs around (even with several albums mP3-ed and burned on one disc I'm still having to carry a load around to take account of changing moods!). And DH has been asking what I want for my birthday (I'd really like a laptop, but he went a bit pale when I suggested that... I think that was one step too far on the finances front, what with the new kitchen in the offing...!).

employee discount and all thatI love the fact that I can put all my "pirate" songs in one folder and play just those, or my "write an adventure scene" music, or "Chicka-bow-bow" porn scene music for those writing moments. heh. I find it easy to browse through the music on mine, and the thing gets hard use by the kidlings, and has never broken down. We've had it for...I'm not sure but our first one was only about a week after they were released to the public. iTunes has made them that much more useful, since we can buy one song at a time, for just 99ยข. That's what, about 70p? 65p? Um, but I'm not sure...was that even released in Britain? We've got a little adapter that allows us to play the iPod on the car speakers, and it's worth its weight in gold. (But we're Californians, so we live in our car more than you do, probably.)
I have nothing but good things to say about this lovely little piece of technology.

DH is coming round to the idea - pointed out that, given the excellent service he gets from this
unitwife, to quibble about the cost is churlish of him :-)
