Kittens really are most excellent entertainment value. Especially ones who are just starting to figure out that, however good they are at climbing trees, they're never going to catch any birds that way...

The kids swore he was stuck up there. I held fast to the 'he got himself up there, he has to figure out how to get himself down again' school of thought. Sure enough, the lure of the food bowl and a warm lap won out, and he reappeared shortly after they'd headed off to school.

AHAHAHA! Cleo used to do that! He'd climb up as close as he could get to the nest of the purple finches (which was still several feet above him in the topmost and very bendy twigs) and sit there, for *hours*, just waiting for one of them to fly right into his mouth. Endlessly funny. Didn't take him too horribly long to figure it out, but until he did...

I figure this guy is going to end up too big and heavy to climb trees well, so he might as well enjoy it while he can!

And as for entertainment value, watching him kill the toy snake over and over again is pretty funny :-)

Now I just have to explain to him that kittens don't like chocolate and are hopeless at typing...
