Do you think I should point out to Max that, as a black cat sitting on a white snowfield, he has a snowball's chance in hell of the birds on the feeder not noticing him?

And in other news, Milly is still quite firmly Indoors. And appears to have every intention of staying that way until the nasty white stuff has gone.

I remember a few years back, looking out into the garden where there was a foot of snow ... and there were these HUGE strange footprints in the snow ... leading to a tree.

Devon and I discussed this at length and then he suddenly realised - it was the cat jumping from one spot to another, landing face-deep in the snow, until he got to the tree where he could climb out of it.

It was pretty funny.

It's pretty funny just imagining it!

Clearly Milly and I are kindred spirts. We shall be curled up by the fire, being fluffy and sedately decorative, while the rambunctious ones go frolic in the cold and wet.

Hee! Oh, Max. I'm sure I've told you about when Cleo used to climb the pine tree with purple finches nesting at the tip-top. He go high as he could - many feet below the nest - and sit patiently on a limb, waiting for the birds to fly into reach. Silly boys.

And, like Jenna, I am of Milly's opinion. Inside where it's warm for me! Will Milly be forced to go out eventually to answer a Call of Nature, or do you have a sand/litter tray set up indoors? If she's obliged to go out, that should make for some amusing behaviour!

Milly says that the utility room sink serves nicely on days such as today...

...and to be honest, it's not really worth trying to break her of it, because there are far worse places she could choose than a stainless steel sink with hot and cold running water laid on.

*facepalm* Yep, it is the best place, if she must do it. Figaro used the bathtub when he was annoyed with me - which happened pretty often. And, same as you, I didn't attempt to break him of it.

I will happily share my blanket and fuzzy socks with you and we can all three curl up in a ball and nap.

Actually, I'm up for that right now, as my office building thermostat is set for the people wearing Christmas sweaters and my feet are cold.

I hear you on the cold feet! It's unseasonably cold here lately. 10 this morning before sunrise. Because I am becoming a total wimp as I get older, I waited until it was up to 20 before going grocery shopping. The trade-off, of course, was that the store and the parking lot were *insane* by then!

*makes hot chocolate for us all*
*joins you in the blanket fort*
