Finally felt well enough to try for a run - only 4km (2.5 miles) and I took it slow, but it went OK. My lungs don't feel too great about it, but the rest of me does.
God, I've been missing it. I'm not a fanatical runner, or competitive, and I'm very slow, but mentally if I don't do it I start climbing the walls. It's like when I run, I run all sorts of stuff out of my system, weed out the mental garbage. I'm sure part of the problem with handling the stress at work is that I haven't been able to run to keep everything down to an acceptable level.
It felt right to be back out there, this morning :)

Date: 2011-01-23 05:27 pm (UTC)I'm recovering from knee surgery & can't even explain what it feels like not to be running. It's such a great de-stresser.

So I am envious of your running ability... no matter how slow you go =)
