British words

Merriam-Webster's two top ten lists of favourite British words made me smile (List 1 and List 2).

I use most of these regularly, except for dogsbody, shambolic and boffin, which I use occasionally, and jiggery-pokery and chunter which I use almost never.

Isn't language a wonderful thing?

I absolutely love the word "dodgy" and I'm almost ashamed to admit to using the word "wanker" to describe my new boss on occasion--and I'm not even British :)

We have a small community named Wankers Corner. It used to contain a bar by the same name, but the bar has moved into town.
