So you have a hand-colored photo! You actually chose the shades of brown for your reindeer horns, etc.?
Wow, the PITA factor in that leaves me reeling, no joke. :) But seriously, this belongs in the Azziria Christmas Collection. A card company would buy these. I certainly would. I did have a couple of suggestions for the poinsettia one, starting with lighting the candles, but that's just me.
Yes, it was hand-coloured - I find that the effect can be very subtle and that really works for some photos. It has to be applied with care and restraint, though... :)
The poinsettia and candles one was never even meant to be anything - I was playing around with the Lensbaby, and then when I downloaded the shots onto the computer it just had something very serene about it, I can't put my finger on what it is I really like about it. Of course the one annoying thing with the Lensbaby is that you can never re-create the same photo twice - there's always a big element of chance.
I had real fun over the four years that I did this Christmas photo thing. They weren't all stellar photos, but it was fun being creative and coming up with 25 different photos each year.
One of the things I do regret about being back at work full time is having a lot less time for my photography... maybe once I've finished my degree I'll commit some time to some more serious photographic projects.
