Just been watching selected highlights of TTT (accompanied by some rather nice Chardonnay...).

I'm so glad I was around and interested at the time these movies were made!

Yeah, ditto that. I very nearly didn't go to see FOTR, because how could any film do justice to the beauty of Tolkien. Like you, been a fan of the books since dinosaurs roamed the earth.
